Strike the right cord with an Interactive Keynote.
“Music is the vernacular of the human soul.”
In Africa they have a word called “Ubuntu”, which they say is too beautiful to translate into English. However, the essence of “ubuntu” is essentially, "I am who I am because of those around me." Ubuntu is about sharing, harmony, and togetherness.
Bring Ubuntu into your place of work. Bring the spirit of togetherness to life.
The Drum Cafe originates from South Africa and since its inception has naturally embraced the philosophy of Ubuntu. Our hands-on approach to team-building, learning and motivation draws the parallels between what it takes to make music and how that relates to working together in an organization, community, or “tribe” to achieve a unified goal! Since music is a universal language, it transcends those barriers that tend to come between us both professionally and personally. This is evident in all of the Drum Cafe events where we bring people together by creating music together. When everyone is collectively drumming in unison, it becomes apparent that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and this is when the magic of Ubuntu happens.
A Drum Cafe Interactive Keynote.
The cornerstone of any Drum Café program is music and rhythm, much of our time working with the group is non-verbal. What we are doing is exploring a multi-sensory, right-brained approach to engaging a group of disparate people through an expression that can be translated universally. Because the language of rhythm appeals to our most basic creative levels, it elicits a broader response that engages more people more quickly and more emotionally. As we lead our programs, we effectively model what we would want leaders to imitate. Imitation is one of the earliest forms of learning and effective leaders know that it is their actions that motivate people to follow them; what they do vs. what they say.
For the ultimate leadership challenge, some clients actually take their hand ‘at the wheel’ to more closely resonate with the leadership experience provided by a Drum Cafe program. One or more or many clients will come in from the periphery and experience 360-degree leadership from the middle of the musical circle….a place where quantum leaps can be made in self awareness and self inquiry surrounding their leadership skills. In increasingly cross-cultural, global organizations, rising leaders welcome this unique opportunity to explore in a ‘safe’ environment, and allows them to practice what it really means to serve the teams they are asked to lead.
There are several aspects of a Drum Café Interactive Keynote that provides leaders with an opportunity for valuable, practical insight that they can take-away with them.
Like all our events, a Drum Cafe Interactive Keynote is designed to unite, uplift and inspire you and your team members. However, the focus here is to ensure that we truly understand your company’s core value propositions. By working with the relevant people, we will be able to unearth and extract nuggets of pertinent information, which will then be built into our program. This will help aid us in achieving one cohesive message.
