My sticks your sticks



Activity Time:                60 minutes  

Activity Title:                 My Sticks, Your Sticks   

Brief Overview:


The group is divided into concentric circles; participants face a partner and each has a pair of drumsticks.  The facilitator leads the group through a skill development sequence laying the foundation for rhythmically based cooperative effort.  The group’s task becomes staying in rhythm, while solving the problem of moving around the circle such that all members of the outer circle connect with those on the inner circle.        

Activity Objectives:   


Being a Talent Leader means recognizing that business planning accompanies talent planning.  Understanding how and where to match talent with tasks and grow talent, is key to organizational success.  My Sticks Your Sticks supports the kinesthetic awareness of this understanding as well as offering skill practice with: 
Watching and listening for multiple strengths and skills in a team; 
Empowering various ideas and innovations in a team; and, 
Creating success through mining and utilizing a team's unique strengths.
