Drum Cafe Leadership Module
Now Take the Lead!
Drum Cafe Leadership module can be added right after the team building session or after a short intermission, or at opposite ends of the day or meeting to ‘book-end’ the event. The leadership module allows managers and non-managers alike the opportunity to ‘assume the reins’ and apply immediately what has been modeled in the core Drum Cafe interactive program.
- align your organization
- present plans and changes in a way that will gain momentum
- develop leadership in your group
- remove barriers to leadership success
When the Drum Cafe ‘training wheels’ are removed, and leaders are invited to demonstrate their own manner and style of leadership ‘in the moment’ as they stand in place of the Drum Cafe facilitator in the eye of the musical circle to feel, see, and hear how and when a leader is motivating and enhancing the skills needed for a group of people to be successful.
Like the conductor of an orchestra, these new leaders have to resort to their own repertoire of non-verbal communication and manage the challenges of an environment where more ‘traditional’ means of influence and leadership are not at their disposal. Whether the ‘conductor’ finds it easier, harder, or just different, all find out how valuable new ways of looking at a situation can be – for them and for the group they lead. The group debrief, unique to this module, allows for the real-time learning to be expanded upon – from both the leader and group perspectives.
